Sword

Swords are some of the most common weapons on Ivalice. Coming both in sets with other weapons, and in rare, stand alone forms, they have a large variety of effects, and both swords for fighters and for casters are known. Two handed swords are not uncommon, however most of them are one handed. Usually, swords are able to do a fair amount of damage. To use a sword, like any other weapon, you need the appropriate weapon skill.

Red Mages, Sword Knights, Lancers, and Rune Knights get such skill naturally.
