Limit Break
Syntax: limit
Each character class has their very own limit break. They are executed during battle when your Limit meter gets full and you type limit (when full the word limit will appear in front of your prompt). Dying does not clear the limit bar, however fighting a monster that is too close, or lower, to your own level will not raise it either.
Damage for a Limit Break is determined by your level, and nothing else. Contrary to popular belief, Every damaging limit has the exact same range of damage.
By default, standard combat will slowly raise your limit break, however with the use of Overdrive Materia, a player can alter what actions will raise the meter.
Using your highest level limit will always require a full limit break bar, however each lower limit uses progressively less of your bar, down to 50%. For example, if you have up to your 3rd limit break, using your 2nd limit break will only cost/use 90% of your limit break bar, and does not need to wait until your bar is full to execute, while your 1st limit will only use 80%.
