Legend

A Legend is a character who has attained level 500, and a player that has such a character. A Legend character cannot exceed level 500, but has many other activities they may participate in such as the following:

• Undertaking a Quest
• Roleplay
• Exploring the vastness of Ivalice without fear of Random Encounters
• Undergoing treatment at the Magitek Surgeon, an alternative to leveling.
• Challenging other Legends and players in Arena Combat
• Forming parties to explore Legend-Only areas
• Purchase a Home
• Interact with and assist other players
• Using your unique skills and knowledge of Ivalice for gil. (=)

(=): Examples: Enchanting Weapons, healing/boosting other players, merchanting(selling gear), reviving materia, treating materia, etc.

Benefits of Attaining Legend Status

• The Ability to use Level 500 Gear
• The Ability to access Legend-Only areas
• No Random Encounters (+)
• The ability to permanently raise attributes (-)

(+): This will only take effect if the legend is alone, or with only a pet.
