Chord

A Bard's instrument is not only used for musical purposes but is also capable of causing damage those those the Bard deems as an enemy. While their training focuses around creating beautiful music with their instruments a Bard also knows which notes are capable of causing great pain to others. By striking a certain chord they are capable of causing damage to an individual, and with practice they are capable of furthering this damage.

Amplify

Once a Bard has successfully struck a painful chord on their instrument they are capable of furthering the damage inflicted on an individual by using their training to amplify the sound. Once amplified the chord causes even more damage to the target, while the Bard continues to strike out or aid their allies. Amplifying a chord is not an easy task and many times even a well trained Bard will fail in their attempt, but when the amplification occurs it is a sight to see.

Echoing

As a Bard's training progresses they learn not only how to cause damage to creatures through the use of sound, but also to rely on their environment to aid them even further. From the moment the chord is struck a Bard is already planning ahead, and when an amplification is successful their put into action that plan. Once amplification has occurred a Bard then tries to use his surroundings to echo the sound, causing it to bounce off walls, ceilings, or floors in an attempt to further harm an individual. The air of echoing damaging chords though is very difficult, more so than amplifying them, and a Bard normally relies on luck. When it happens though an individual is struck a total of three times.
