Axe

Axes are often fabled as the most powerful weapon of Ivalice. They appear often in sets with other weapons, and sometimes there are some very powerful stand alone ones. While most of the set ones are one handed, usually the ones standing alones are heavy two handed weapons. Axes are usually focused on attack only, and while some are known to make the wielder more resilient, some others are unbalanced and actually make it more difficult to resist hits or to connect. Not being meant for mages, they usually don't boost magic abilities in any way. Like any other weapon, the use of axes is limited to those with the appropriate skill.

Once taught to every warrior, today only BattleRagers and Elementalists learn that skill.
